Kasuga Shrine is located in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. It is believed to have been founded in the 13th century and is designated as an important cultural asset of Japan. Japanese shrines are built in a traditional architectural style unique to Japan, and this model is accurately modelled from actual drawings, right down to the pillars inside. Please use this model when designing a typical Japanese landscape! The interior of a Shinto shrine is usually kept secret, as the inside of a Japanese shrine is considered a sanctuary. Stones and mirrors are likely to be placed inside, but you will have to use your imagination.
