GSK was founded soon after the University of Tsukuba opened in 1976. "GSK" is an acronym for "Gendai Shikakubunka Kenkyukai"(The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture). We have been active for a long time as a manga and anime club, but in recent years we have divided ourselves into different groups based on the interests of our members, and each group writes, binds books, illustrates, does cosplay, organizes live events at school festivals, runs maid cafes, and is involved in a wide range of other subcultural activities. In the fanzine sale, we provide the fanzine booklet containing the creations of the "Illustration and Manga Group" and the "Novel Group" as well as the critiques of the "Review Group".
